Subject: very cool relic
yellowed pages, clear crisp text, illustrations, and 300 pages of civil-war era union soldier stories. It is crazy to think that 100 years ago, this book was published and that young men my age or younger carried it around while camping. Back then, it was not for recreation, it was for survival while out in the woods. So thankful for the archive.org project and all the thousands of scanned books that are seeing new life outside of their rare-collection rooms!
